These five came from an estate auction today. The 1930 stamp (top right) looks just like a SC#371 or 372, but the colours are different. Also between the 5 Cs. there should read C.F.y E.F. Instead there is Series 6a (on the 1930 stamp) and series numbers on all the others. Not finding anything else in my Scotts. Any ideas?

Ok, just looked in my Cinderella album and I see I already have the stamp on the lower left. It's labeled as 1936 local tax Corporation of Barcelona. Can I assume the other three are tax stamps related to the Expos?

From 1929 a 5 cents of pesseta tax, was imposed on all domestic mail from an area of 40 km around the city of Barcelona, later (1931) extended up to the whole of Barcelona province. The aim was to pay for the deficit of the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition. This tax, that lasted up to 1945, was extremely unpopular due to the amount (30% increase on domestic postal rate!) as no simillar tax was levied on Sevilla, that also had an Iberoamerican Exhibition with a higher deficit. Nothing new for us, anyway...
Card and letter with the tax stamps.
The tax, was also on telegrams with overprinted stamps.

1945 issues. Philatelic, but very nice. Printed by Institut Gràfic Oliva de Vilanova, Barcelona.
The upper item shows all stamps issued by Barcelona's City Council, while the lower depict the Casa de l'Ardiaca (Archdeacon's House), a XVI century building, just in front of Barcelona's cathedral.

June, 1936. The only commemorative issue from Barcelona Council stamps, showing the Montjuïc parc, built for the 1929 International Exhibition.
You can see: a view of the Poble Espanyol (spanish village), statue of Saint Georges, amb views of the Montjuïc gardens. Nothing has changed that much since then...
