As a collector, it makes me really happy to see something I can't fit into my collection find a spot in someone else's album. This is especially true when the stamp or cover is something unusual. I feel just great when I find someone who knows more about the item and can use it in their specialty collection and who can appreciate it. It is one of those little feel good moments in our hobby. You know what I mean, when you take those stamps that have been sitting in your stockbook for years and send them to someone who is thrilled to get them. Definite smile maker! Yeah, it is nice to get a few bits for your stamps, too, but that's not the BEST part! Just a sunshine thought for the day . . . Happy stampin'

That is perfectly put philatelia! That is exactly the thrill I get too when I have something that I been "tripping and/or falling" over for ever and I don't know exactly what to do with it then a "specialist" pops up on the board and describes said item in such great detail that it gets me all excited about it too and since I don't have a dedicated spot for the item I'll usually just send it off to that person. Lately, believe it or not it's been our very own James or another friend on another board wt1.
