I don't know a thing about these Czech labels. They are designed and engraved by people who often worked on Czech postal issues and they have a look very much like genuine Czech stamps. Ryan

According to this source, these were dummy stamps used by printing press producer Winkler Fallert & Co. AG (WIFAG) as part of the press commissioning process (the image is from page 11 of the reference).

I believe this charity label is Czech because of the currency. I'll happily be corrected.

I believe this charity label is Czech because of the currency. Yes, correct - the language is German which perhaps places the label in the Nazi Germany era of the Sudetenland annexation. The German name Nürschan is known in Czech as Nýřany. Ryan

Some more Czech labels for Prague fairs or expos, though they appear to be written in either French or German, and not Czech.

Well I'll put these here, until told to move it. 1913 and 1915 Slovakia, obviously pre-Czechoslovakia. Isn't the art nouveau lady beautiful?

The Pipe, Solo Brand Safety Matches Advertising label I like pipes, so this appeals to me on that basis. I found a list of all the products that are made by the Solo brand and now the one I want is "The Posthorn" (see image below).

A nice Cinderella commemorating the International Danube Messe (Exhibition/Fair/Symposium) held in Bratislava which is now the capital and largest city in Slovakia, formerly Czechoslovakia. It doesn't list a date....except the days of the fair, but since its annually (alljaehrlich) I suppose it could be rather modern..

I have 4 examples of the beautiful Slovakian poster stamp shown by jamesw above. Difficult to translate the text since it is in a very stylised form but in the end I get 'Slovak Exhibition in the Hungarian Fort in 1915'. At that time Slovakia was part of Hungary in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The artist appears to be K J Obratil. The reverse of my stamps have somehow received offset progressive proof imprints. The last 2 images are very feint but seem to show hair colouring. Scan_20210123 by Daniel, on Flickr Scan_20210123 (2) by Daniel, on Flickr

A Czechoslovakian ROH, Revolučni Odborové Hnuti (Revolutionary Trade Union Movement) membership card/booklet. Used for union dues from 1984 up to 1989, its formal demise was in 1990. The ROH was the monopolistic trade union in communist Czechoslovakia and membership was effectively obligatory. Czechoslovakia returned to a liberal democracy in November 1989. The card was issued to Frantisek Drahosa who was born in Prague in 1942. Showing pages with membership stamps, some with additional 'Sign of Solidarity' stamps, up to the final stamps of 1989. In this instance, I believe the solidarity was with the Polish Solidarity movement.

TESLA: A Mark of a World-Class Product Tesla is a brand of electronic goods. The company was originally a state owned monopoly during the communist era. Founded in 1946, it was privatised in 1991 and still exists today. The company is not related to the American Tesla Inc company other than deriving their names from the Serbian American inventor Nikola Tesla. However, Tesla, Czechoslovakia was founded well before Tesla Inc and so, they took legal action against them but came to an amicable agreement to share the name.

This Cinderella marks the 1000th anniversary of the death of Prince Wenceslas, 929 (later thought to be 935) to 1929. The central design depicts the Seal of Prague Winemakers from 1800. It depicts Wenceslas who reputedly cultivated the vineyard at Prague Castle, now known as the Saint Wenceslas Vineyard. Wenceslas was made a king only after his death by Otto I, the Holy Roman Emperor. Much later he was made a Saint by Pope Pius II.

This Cinderella marks the 1000th anniversary of the death of Prince Wenceslas, 929 (later thought to be 935) to 1929. This always brings a smile, As a young lad, I was in a choir at a Cathedral (5-7 yo) I always sang "Good King Wenslas Last Looked out, on the feast of Stephen" etc Not realising it was King Wenceslas looked out. Note : The Iconography in the Cinderella, The birth atop the Pillar Pillar indicating, strength, reliable, supportive, (Pillar of the community etc) A broken Pillar, represents a life cut short (ex: In my home town, at the ANZAC memorial, of those lost in WW1)
