Receiving email from Stanley Gibbons a couple days ago and they told me they will be releasing the new Ireland catalog in December.
I think I I am going to get it. A lot of SG numbers are used in eBay listings. Hopefully they will be easy way to get this in the United States.

Andy: Regency in St Louis carries SG catalogs at a good price (they are the official US supplier, I think), and offer free shipping over $35 (which should cover most any catalog!).
SG catalogs were just way too expensive before, when shipped from the UK. This begins to bring them within reach.
Edited to add: They also have good prices on the Scott catalogues as well.

I could not wait till December, so I broken down and bought the 2011 SG catalog from Regency. It was only $26.50, so it wasn't too bad. And I can probably get at least half of that back selling it used.
I went to Regency's website, and I had to link a credit card in order to complete my profile. Well, I really didn't have a lot of interest in doing that, my wallet was ALL THE WAY upstairs, and I really just wanted to use Paypal and be done with it....
So, I decided to do a search on eBay. Sure enough, found the catalog, for the same price: $26.50. Went to order it, and the seller was REGENCY STAMP.
I was tempted to get the Hibernian, but all sellers were shipping from Germany, and that would have taken 2 weeks, if not longer. Plus I figure, this will give me a taste of the SG catalog. If I like it, I'll order the 2014 this December. If I don't, I'll order the Hibernian.

So, it looks like the fine folks at Stanley Gibbons treat perf varieties as minor catalog numbers, at least for Ireland.
Scott treats perf varieties as MAJOR catalog numbers for the US and minor for the rest of the world. I wonder if Scott is a little overzealous in it's numbering of US Stamps.

So, I thought I would resurrect this old thread. If you own an iPad, Stanley Gibbons has a very good app. You can buy catalogs on their website and view them on the web on any device. If you have an iOS device, then you install their app and download an offline copy of their catalog. And you buy your catalogs, not rent them.
Amos Media could learn a thing or two from Stanley Gibbons. In a perfect world, Stanley Gibbons would offer watermarked PDFs for sale. But in the absence of that, at least I can view my catalogs offline.

I saw mention on the "down under" forum that a new edition of the SG Ireland catalogue is in the works, although a specific release date has not been announced.
Also, Gibbons is currently running a Christmas sale on most of its print and digital catalogues. Everything except the 2024 Collect British Stamps and Stamps of the World catalogues looks to be included. If you're in the market for a new catalogue or two, now could be the time.

The 8th edition of the Stanley Gibbons Ireland catalogue is now showing as available on the Gibbons website. I'll probably order a copy from Nordfrim sometime in February or March.
