Interesting item, firstfrog.
Searching around on the web, it looks like this was a promotional item put out by Amoco. You could get the albums at their station and they would issue 4 new stamps each week to keep you coming back.
Which is the last president listed in the book you have? Are all the spaces filled?

  No album though. That's a nice bonus. Also picked up a set of American Historical Stamps with landmarks. Probably another album. |

I'm going to start following you to your haunts! Never find things like that here. Estate sales are mostly over priced furniture with damage or old linens yellowed with age.There are businesses here that run the sales for surviving family members and price things beyond reasonable presumably so they can then offer to dispose of remainders for pennies.

It was pretty amazing. This auctioneer often has stamps, but this lot was mostly cinderellas. When the time finally came, NO ONE ELSE was bidding on them. So I was getting lots for a couple of dollars each. The auctioneer was getting pretty ticked at me, and by the end started refusing some of my low bids. There was an stock book full of cindys, and he wouldn't even entertain my bid as an opener. I think, by then, he'd realized the openers were the only bids.
Eventually another fellow, who I'd been talking to, started bidding against me. He probably saved me from myself!
Plus I think I helped create another Cinderella collector.
