I've been using Staples matte sheet protectors, which the box claims are acid free and archival safe.
Are there there brands that people use that they prefer?

I moved away from the matte, they felt too flimsy and failed to bring out the true colour of the stamps. I currently use Marbig Premium quality A4, Glass clear. (circa $11 / 100) They have a lovely feel, but add bulk and weight to the album, but as always there are concerns over the plastic. Most, I think you will find are manufactured in China (Marbig prod by Acco)

The big brand in the US is Avery. They make a clear heavyweight sheet protector. I may give that a try. Kids are going to Boy Scout camp for the week starting tomorrow. Should give me some time to mount some stamps.

Avery is usually what I use.I can find them most anywhere and fit standard size cardstock nicely. They do add volumes but that's the only downside that I've found.
