Are you planning on attending? I try to attend Steve, esp for the exhibits, I rather purchase stamps from the internet. Depends on the weather, I have no heater in my car, and it is a 500Km round trip drive. My teeth chattering drowns out the music from the radio. The weather is on the turn, and Mr. Sun peeps through more often of late.

It comes as no surprise Jack, I don't know how you guys/gals exist up there, I think I am cold blooded, hibernation here ends in September, then we come out to play. 30 degrees and above. I have to be careful, we are 3 degrees lower here than Perth, and cold foggy mornings ice the windscreen, and it becomes dangerous to drive. Mine is a "summer only" car. I have a pickup with a heater, but that's a thirsty fellow for long drives.

I'm usually very skeptical about a "coin & stamp" show. In the ones I've been to, it's usually about 10-20 coin dealers for every stamp dealer. However, I took a look at the dealer line-up, and it seems quite balanced. That's terrific, because here, when combined, it seems like stamps are the bastard step-child of coins.
Looks like a good show!

Looks like a good show! I've never noticed that, as yet, Dave. You generally get a feeling for the show after 10 minutes in the room, the low hum of people talking and catching up on the latest, The Rugby scrum around the Coffee counter and sweetmeats. Musical chairs, as you try a nab a seat to look through the Epirus Albums, (The tables are always too low for a lanky fella as me, and I get a bad back after an hour or so) My biggest gripe, is the exhibits, you see some fabulous works, exhibitors should be able to offer an A4 sheet, outlining their display, I have to take a notebook and pencil to jot down stuff that I care to recall. I like the kids displays too, see what interests the nippers. Take spare glassines, loupe, change, light protective plastic satchel for purchases, and chain the favourite tweezers to your wrist.

I should have gone to the Perth Exhibition. I spent the weekend at home, bidding on auctions here and there, and lost every bid. Either I am behind in my appraisals or Philately is very healthy at the moment, seen bids accepted 3 x reserve. Back to working on my Ajman and Sharjah collection....
