I am a great fan of StarTreck - unlike many if not all SF shows/movies, ST was a very positive look into the a possible future. It also, in a subtle way, analyzed and commented on many social issues, especially racial intolerance as dramatized by "the kiss".
It was a great experiment and it is why it got canned so early. But, the people showed their protest by actually turning it into an icon that lives to this day and that spawned many movies and follow-up series.

I found it on a google search - I was looking for something else and that came up! Let me see if I can find it again - www.startrekgoodies.com/sd.htmlIt is a cutout of Spock in front of a poster of some type. They only have one set. Fun stuff, though!

On the other hand, it's over 25 years since STNG (Next Generation) aired.... Yikes! I was barely a teenager back then... -k-

I was 8 years old then, but I got my first taste of Star Trek in January 1967, I saw it in the hospital when I was in traction due to a fractured leg. No way I could ever forget that! It was January 19, 1967, the "Gorn" episode, which was terrifying for me at the time - Kirk and the lizard Gorn in a death fight!
