Just spent a terrific morning doing some final research for my War Tax exhibit at the Vincent Graves Greene Foundation in Toronto. Huge thanks to Cathy (who found all the books), Leon and Margaret. If any of you forum members are ever in Toronto I HIGHLY recommend you drop in (they love visitors, they told me so!) and do some research or just chat. Who knew this sort of place still existed. An oasis, to be sure. Check them out at www.greenefoundation.ca

Thank you for your comments jamesw. Both Kathy and Leon are recent additions to the library staff and are amazing resources to have on board. Leon is retired from the Ontario Archives and is a researcher of extraordinary quality. Kathy's prime hobby is genealogy which carries specialized research techniques. You hit the jackpot with both of them in the library when you visited.
Margaret is simply the extraordinary person who coordinates everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) that happens at the VGG. Not only is she the Executive Assistant of the Greene Foundation but also is the "behind the scenes manager" of the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada whose National Office is housed within the Greene Foundation.
Yes, we do love visitors but we also suggest that visitors call first to ensure that we are available to meet your needs. Additionally, we don't encourage visitors on the days that the Expert Committee is meeting (in the library) for obvious reasons.
