Hi For anyone interested, the Album Weeds book by Earée is available on the internet. I was looking for a stamp description and came across the following web site: archive.org/details/albumweedsorhowt00eareOn the left side of the web page is a box "View The Book" which has a list of viewing options. For downloading the book as a PDF click on PDF in the box. A new page will open that states "loading". Be patient, it takes a while to load the 35M+. When the front book cover is displayed, move your mouse to the lower right corner and a "menu bar" will be displayed. Click on the icon next to the printer. The download will start. From what I have read at other places the book copyright expired and the book is now in the Public Domain. It is amazing to me how much info is on the internet and with very little effort one can almost find anything. I wish I had the internet when I had to write papers in college. Many, many hours in libraries and dusty old stacks. Jerry B

Hi Rodney
The loading time referred to the time it took to display the book cover. I am on DSL and the book downloaded in a few seconds also.

From what I have read at other places the book copyright expired and the book is now in the Public Domain. 1923 is the magic year - books older than that are now in the public domain in America. copyright.cornell.edu/resources/publicdomain.cfmAnd thanks very much for the link, I think buried in my piles of CD files I had a copy of this but it's nice to now have the copy on my hard drive too. Excellent! Ryan

Earée's Weeds is one of the few truly literate books about stamp collecting.
