Tony when the forum was started we had a donation auction, a few of the lots sold for excess of $100, The members that donated the lots and the members that made those generous bids I gave the title of Lifetime supporter.
Anyone that makes a donation to this forum will always have the title of supporter. The amount is up to you.
Maybe I should change it to founding supporter.

Hello Jack. Thank you for taking the time to explain. I now have a better idea which side the toast is buttered. As I mentioned earlier I am now down to Argentina Departmental Officials and the Ceres issues of Portugal and Colonies. The rest is gone. However, this morning I found four pages of Panamanian specimens for which I have no use and which I should like to donate to the Forum except that I don't know how and I don't particularly want to screw it up. I assure you that in the hands of the right person this would be a nice little earner. I was therefore wondering if I could send them to one of the "founding members" (you, perhaps) and with your experience you should be able to do whatever needs doing blindfold in the night. I include a Photobucket link of one of the pages. There are three more pages. Thanks in advance.

tonyvella We are having a live auction in February and if you like we can stick this lot in as a donation lot. Donations of stamps are a win win, the donator instead of giving a cash donation uses items that they no longer have a home for, the person that wins makes a donation to the forum and also receives some lovely items for their collection. If you are not familiar with the Live Auctions it is held at a set time, we try to pick a time that some members might have to get up at the crack of dawn, or drink a pot of coffee to stay up. Always hard with a global forum. The auction takes place on the Shoutbox which you will see at the bottom of the page, its more of a live chat room then anything else. I will call out the lots and members can shout in their bids, just like a brick and mortar auction, its a lot of fun and plenty of good banter. Some times 2 or 3 members will be bidding in a heated bidding war, then all goes quiet and in come another bidder and all hell breaks loose The lots are posted before hand on the board and members can place a board bid. When the live bidding takes place the opening bid will be the board bid or reserve what ever is highest. Members also have the option to bid by proxy, for this they will email me the lot they wish to bid on and the max amount they wish to bid. I will then bid in one dollar increments on their behalf, very similar as your max bid on ebay. I will be setting up the Live Auction thread this coming week and after I shall message you about it.

I guess when the time comes someone will let me know and I will scan the other three pages. Seems hardly fair for people to bid blind. Then one of you chappies can tell me again what to do with the four scans which would be rather big to put up on the board all together. And then someone can tell me how to know who won and how to forward the packet, etc. All the logistics, in other words.
And please remember, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, OK?

@firstfrog:
Digital Microscope: let me tell you something. A long time ago someone promised me one because of my Argentine Departmental Officials. There are a couple of departments: Justice and Instruction, and Public Works, I think, where the first dot between the first and second letter on some stamps has rounded corners. Just the first dot, the second is perfectly square. Your mention of a DigMic just reminded me of that. I wonder if I could find a used one on eBay? Hmmmm. The wife is already nagging. Save the money for food and clothes, blah, blah. Women, ya can't, I say, ya can't learn them nothin', son.

Tony for digmic Steve has a link to a seller on ebay think that's where frog picked his up pretty cheap too if I recall. I will message you later and you can send me the scans. I will set up the thread for you. For the logistics it's pretty simple buyer donates the money and then I send you the address, you mail the winnings to them.

Thank you. Just what I wanted to hear. By the way, you know we now pay almost 20% extra to bring ebay stuff from the US over to Canada?

Yes postage costs are crazy these days. I sent a parcel over to ireland, a few dollars more I could have bought a plane ticket and deliver it by hand.
