I don't want to turn this into a scanner discussion, but compare the first image in this thread: to this one: I have actually considered collecting these images just for browsing on iPad.

As requested by Bas, I'll show the whole 1978 Picasso's set. Starting by "Ciència i caritat" (Barcelona, 1897)
"Las Meninas" (Cannes, 1957)
"The pigeons" (Cannes, 1957)
"The end of the play" (Paris, 1900-1901)
Jaume Sabartés (1939)
"Mrs Canals" (1904)
"The painter and his model" (1963)
"Selfportrait" (Paris, 1906)
All cards are postmarked at Barcelona's Picasso Museum on the day of issue.
All paintings, except for the two last, hang on Barcelona's Picasso Museum. So, just the 6 first cards are true Maxi-cards

Josep Maria Sert i Badia (Barcelona, Catalonia, 1874 - 1945).
(self-portrait)
He specilised on frescos all around Europe but also in the uS, like the paintings of the Rockefeller Center in NYC.
His paintings on Geneva's (Switzerland) Society of Nations Palace, like this one: "The five parts of the World" appeared on two UN stamps.

7 June 1993 Liechtenstein - theblackhatman on a maxi-card. (I have a spare one of these if anyone would like to swap with other Hundertwasser stamps) Featuring an original stamp design (possibly his last), and the first in the series Hommage a Liechtenstein, which was coordinated by Hundertwasser.

I was attempting an Youtube IQ test, some days ago (I was just a tad above average) However one question I failed was "What ear was damaged in Van Gogh's self portrait" I, of course answered "Right Ear" thinking that was rather easy, having seen so many Postage Stamps of his art. Not my image.
