One of the side projects I have is modifying pages for the Mystic Heirloom US Album to correct the injustice of Mystic requiring you to break up perfectly good se-tenants. I have been posting these mods to another stamp forum, and thought I would share with this community as well. All the pages are available for free downloads here: stamphacks.com/wp/?cat=3My latest "hack" modifies page 607 to all you to keep the peaches/pear se-tenants together. Mystic keeps 2487-88 together, but then wants you to break up 2494-94 and 2495-95A. The page is a drop on replacement for the existing page 607, with stamps on the front, and description for the next page on the back. Here is what my mod looks like: Front:  Back:  Andy |

And the page 665 hack to keep Legends of American Music se-tenant together: Reading your page, I have a recollection of reading that Buddy Holly and the "Crickets" had some influence for John Lennon & Co, naming their band, "The Silver Beatles" then "The Beatles" |

I have a feeling I read that in their History Book, which I have been searching for, for ages,
probably packed away for "safekeeping" and subsequently lost.
I have the Beatles Encyclopedia, (about 4 inches thick) will check if it is in there.
Update: George Harrison was quoted ..inspired by "The Beetles" motorcycle gang, led by Lee Marvin in "The Wild One"
This film was banned in Britain for 10 years, so doubtful.
Generally accepted as Stuart Sutcliffe suggesting "The Beetles" after Buddy Holly band
and John changing the second "e" to "a"

I remember watching a show on VH1 (a TV channel about music in the US) and they were talking about music in the 2000s. A lot of music critics on there were arguing that music had gone kind of stale and it needed a kick in the @ss. They were saying that the music industry needed a new Nirvana.
I looked at my wife and said "Not really. We don't need another band led by a person suffering deep depression, who will have at most 3 of their songs played on the radio before they're completely forgotten 20 15 years later. What we really need is another Beatles. Music that can survive 50+ plus."

Sadly the music industry has changed since the days the British invaded the states.Not sure of the numbers but there were only limited major record, yes ,I said record companies.Today every city boasts numerous sound studios recording anything at whim just to collect dollars for time.Scouting for talent went by the wayside I'm afraid.Many musicians of great talent just had no connections and were left in the dust.I had the pleasure to play with some terrific unknown talents who deserved better than dead end bar gigs.If you have no backing big money today your chances are dismal at best.It was a fun time none the less.

Ok, I updated the Page 667 hack to make 2 pages. One allows you to mount the whole Legends of American Music strip, the other lets you mount, just the se-tenant, without the second Elvis stamp on the bottom of the strip. Despite my absence from a lot of stamp boards, I'm interesting in the hobby. Just been absolutely insane with work this year.
I took some time yesterday to visit the local stamp store and hacked up another Mystic page. Yesterday's victim was page 865. Here's a pic:

I've been cranking away at these, but just haven't posted any updates. I actually did 2 different hacks yesterday alone. On page 613, Scott omitted a major catalog number 2524A, so I added it back: And then I decided to tackle the problem with full sheet se-tenants. I came up with the idea of having a page with a full color scan of the sheet and a spot on the bottom of the pages letting you describe where you're keeping the actual page:
Yes, the site is slow. I need to switch hosting providers. Just haven't found the time to do it yet.
