Bravo! Zipper Nicely placed. Wow! Demeter never looked so fabulous, resplendent. She was eaten by her Father, the dastardly Cronus, who ate all but one of his children, He vomited them back up after eating a rock, Now she looks like the Goddess of the Harvest.

The face on the 1914 ag machines set almost has an anime quality to it. Or is it just me?

What I collect: Cinderellas and some Ephemera from Great Britain, France and Israel plus a few beautiful bits from elsewhere !! Topical interests include Flags & Judaica, the latter with an emphasis on the Jewish National Fund.

Here are some of the Belgium Railway stamps. I like them mostly for their postmarks, though. Collectors are saying that they are counting them as cinderellas.

Most Parcels in Belgium are delivered by the railways which is why these Parcel post stamps appear in catalogues [Gibbons at any rate]. But I can understand some collectors putting these in a 'borderline' Cinderella collection.
I have moved the thread to the Cindy section as most of the other posts are about Cinderella labels/poster stamps.

I have thousands I should think, a lot on cards. 10 years ago, a friend of mine in the US, Mr. Tracy Barber, was creating a database of Postmarks, Rail routes etc & etc. We lost touch with him, I know not why, he was a very generous collector, extremely helpful. I still remain curious as what happened to Tracy.

Here's a few more from different issues. I see some CDS postmarks. I also have some mint. No postmark but they are nice, too.

Very sharp. Still like the 1910 set the best, I think.

1897 Exposition Today (Saturday morning in France) I went to the open-air market here in Aix-en-Provence, which happens every week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings. The market features a variety of vendors who sell everything from fresh produce and other food items, to clothing, decorator items, and antiques. In the antiques area, there is one dealer offering stamps, coins, paper money, and postal history. Here is probably my most interesting acquisition of the day, a partial set of cinderellas from Belgium, issued for a Brussels Exposition in 1897. I got 18 stamps in various colors and conditions, and below is a photo of five (5) of those stamps. Once I get scanning capability again, I will scan an image of all of the stamps I acquired. I also found a blog site that published some information about this Expo, which can be found here: leblogdecallisto.blogspot.fr/2015/12/lexposition-internationale-de-bruxelles.htmlI apologize for the generally poor quality of this image, which is a photo exhibiting a certain amount of shadowing, which I was unable to avoid. I will replace this image at a later time with a better one, once I have access to the right equipment. I was interested to see that Zipper had already posted an image of stamps from this set a couple of years ago, but I had never seen these before, and couldn't resist a mini-collection of 18 stamps for my money.

I finally got access to a scanner today, so here is my first attempt to use it for sending stamp images. Here is the complete grouping of 18 stamps that I was able to acquire from the dealer at the Aix-en-Provence open-air market. I would like to make this post in honor of tomiseksj and Londonbus1 : Steve sent me my first Cinderella when I joined TSF and LB1 has been my Cinderella mentor ever since! I also want to thank firstfrog2013 when he made his post about "getting back to basics" and encouraging all of us to make posts with images of stamps--Frog, you are so right. So, here are the images of 18 very nice stamps, which were my first acquisition after the move to France. Here's to all of you!!
