I have been trying to contact Ian for many months without any luck. No emails retuned, nor letters but I have been trying many times, I even found a couple of phone numbers but no luck. Tonight I was on Facebook searching once again and by chance I came across a page for his old school in Mudgee, NSW. Then I saw it. Ian, huckles888, passed away on June 2nd 2014 after a long illness. It was just 10 days after his last message here: thestampforum.boards.net/thread/2091/biafra-cinderellaI have known Ian for many years, from other forums and we had a very nice Internet friendship, one that I treasured and relied upon. I even got him into collecting British Philatelic Exhibition items and helped him build a nice album. He was enthusiastic until the end. He was also very private in many ways and did not want others to know too much about his illness and I respected that with him and never mentioned it. I have missed him since our last 'chat' last May and tonight I got the news I knew would come but never thought I'd read. I miss him. Londonbus1

How sad! I knew huckles from SCF and here and did some trading with him. Always terrible news.

Sad news LB1. It amazes me how strong friendship can become from online forums. He was a good man.

The only collector I have known, to collect Equatorial Guinea. Now, now... Aren't you forgetting a certain Finnish bloke (and there are few others who are into collecting EG as well) Didn't know huckless888 well besides some random chatter on various forums. But the loss of a fellow collector is always sad.
