Rushed to an estate auction after work with the promise of wonderful stamps. NOT. Pretty common stuff I'm afraid. But I picked up a couple of things. Then this came up. I had missed it in the case, so when I had another look as the guy was holding it up, I immediately raised my paddle. No competition. I think we've seen these on the forum before, though I couldn't find the thread. I believe (and correct me if I'm wrong) these were British made propaganda stamps. Kinda neat.
A quick look on SCF revealed this article posted by our own Mr. Bus a couple of years ago. A trip about a quarter of the way down the page reveals to me, I believe, that mine are actually forgeries of the propaganda stamp. So not the real thing. So, now I continue to look for a real sheet to display side by side. www.psywarrior.com/Cornflakes2.htmlDoes it never end?

Of all the WWII propaganda forgeries, the American-made Hitler Heads are the most affordable. The plain forgeries can usually be had for about $10-$20 each, and the skull version for about $20-30.
The original forgeries weren't printed in minisheets, but in 10x5 sheets, so unless you really like full sheets and are prepared to fork over about $400-$500, stick with the singles.

Well, I got these for $10, so I guess I did pretty well. I'll keep my eyes open for a single. Would make for an interesting album page.
