When my Greek friend pulled out this cover my heart nearly skipped two beats..... 1913, obviously philatelically inspired.....but wow, a real gem nonetheless! "PK" got this over fifty years ago from a military friend while both were in the Greek Army. That collector personally knew who brought it back from occupied Bulgaria, shortly after the Balkan war around 1914. It has remained folded, until recently, in a dark corner of my amazing collector friend who rarely gave it a second look. PK knows I get excited over covers, even when obviously contrived. Scott lists the stamps as N167-N178 in the rear of the section "Cavalla" with a notation: "The counterfeits and reprints of Nos N167-N178 are difficult to distinguish from originals. Many overprint varieties exist. Some specialists question the status of Nos. N167-N178"
I'm debating the next step to take with regards to contacting appropriate study circles, but first I need to wipe the drool off my chin!!!
