rod222, since you have an amazing treasure trove of obscure literature, I'm wondering if you happen to have a copy of Bill Hornadge's ("Review Publications Pty.") catalog, "The Pineapple Post of Hawaii"? (I believe it's from 1991.) I'm asking because, quite by coincidence, I know the founder/postmaster through other philatelic circles, and recently discovered a cover of his in a dealer's box, which is how I learned of it. And just yesterday learned of this catalog. Would love to even just see a scan of its contents (18 pages, I believe). TIA, -- Dave

PS: Can we see a scan of the cover? Sure thing! According to Craig, this would have been a cover in which a FDC would've been sent. (Although I've obscured the recipient, I did show the unpixelated image to him, and he remembered the recipient as a charter subscriber of his FDC service.) Thanks also for showing those other covers and posts. I apologize for starting a new thread, but I did do a search first on here and nothing came up, so I assumed that the subject hadn't come up yet. If any moderator would like to attempt to reconcile these threads, please feel free to do so. On the other hand, rod222 may have served the spirit of that intent by graciously providing those links in this thread. Thank you, Rodney!

Several years ago, on another board down under, someone offered this catalog for sale. It was eventually sold to someone in the US. A couple of days ago, I tried to contact the buyer to see if he'd be willing to make a scan or even just shoot camera phone pics of it, but he had not been on that board since February, and I haven't heard anything from him yet.

You are absolutely correct in starting a new thread, and done very well too, your text string is perfect for this forum. The discipline belongs in both Folders, Hawaii for those whom never heard of Pineapple Post and Local Post for the specialists.

I have a listing of all Pineapple Post issues and descriptions plus other relevant info. Just holler if you need it and I will endeavor to make a copy.
[It will cost you 2 large slices of pineapple drenched in honey and lightly glazed under the grill !!]
