I'm having a hard time understanding how this board works so please excuse if this post is in the wrong place. My Name is Mitchell and I collect the world. I dedicate most of my time to my collection and displaying it to help aid the collector or dealer in many ways. The site is non commercial and you will find no distracting bells and whistles. Very simpe to navigate and find what you are looking for. I still have much to scan primarily British Coloniesut Ip chugging away. My home page for my site will pretty much give you more than you ever wanted to know about me. Antonius-R.com antonius-ra.com/mward/collection/I put your site link on, Hope you don't mind

Get going' on those colonies, will ya? I'm not sure if it is the collecting or the publishing that is the more impressive endeavor. Kudos on both.

Hey, Mitchell! I don't know if you'll remember, but this is Dave (aka Philatarium) from the old eBay chat board!
Glad to see you here! I always enjoyed your contributions on the old board -- hope you'll feel like contributing here. (Also saw the interview you gave on another WW collector's blog -- very nice!)
Congratulations on continuing to expand your collection!
-- Dave

Thank you all much for the warm welcome! PuzzleMan Good to see you here I'd wondered where you had run off to. It appears this board is quite new? Hopefully it will not tolerate any nasty trolls and we can have many a well rounded and fruitfull discussion. My Spain is kind of in a rut. I completed the first set of airs lately but other than that I'm not coming up with anything. I still think it is the most difficult European country to collect by far. Most of my Euros are at the 98-99% completion level. Spain on the other hand I 'm not sure if I could ever get it above 90% and that if I went to 2000. Probably have a couple pounds of dupes looking for a trading partner?
Hiya Dave Great to see you here. That seemed to be a pretty lonely outpost you held down for a long time in Uruguay. I'd look in every once in awhile but nothing was happening. I caanot remeber if you were collecting anything besides Japan and area?
Hi Jack, Thanks for the kind welcome. Note the Red dot above that stamp. It would be best for everyone to read the main page intro to avoid any confusion. Also not all stamps shown are still in my collection. From time to time I sell off chunks if I have good backups to start over. French colonies and early Scandanavia are two areas where I had done much of that. Still the backups were nearly as good so it wasn't that big a change except for keys. I hate doing that but some times you get an offer you can't refuse and building a decent world wide collection with very limited funds is no "piece of cake"
ZuZu That is an interesting name and one that has considerable meaning to me. It is also related to my web name. You did not happen to pick it up in Egypt did you?
My main computer went dead on me a couple weeks ago and my backup has some very nasty bug that usually makes being on the web nearly impossible so I don't know how much interaction I can have here in the near future.

Actually, that is quite encouraging. If you managed, perhaps there is some hope for WW collectors such as myself.

Mitch - My own Spain collection has kind of languished as well. The economy hasn't been kind to this household. My wife has been out of a regular job for about 3 years now and is only now getting back into the swing of things after taking time to go back to school and get her degree. She is starting a full time job this school year (YAY!), so things are looking up as of now. Haven't bought much in that span of time and actually had to sell a lot of my better items to "get by". It'll be a long way to go to get back to where I was. Been basically keeping busy soaking, sorting and organizing other non-Spanish stamps, and learning a lot along the way
Never could get use to the NEW ebay forum so I started looking for other alternatives. This one seems to have alot going for it that others don't, very user friendly. I think this board will grow into it's own and have a real good vibe.

Welcome to the board. I've only been a member for a few days but am enjoying myself.
I don't think I ever mentioned to you that my wife and I are ancient Egypt nuts. We've been to Egypt five times (although not since the Arab Spring).

Mitchell, My screen name is also my RL nickname. It comes from my favorite film, "It's a Wonderful Life," and it's fitting - I found out long after adopting it that it's a diminutive form of Susan, which is my name. I would love to hear about the Eqyptian connection.

Welcome to the forum Mitchell, your collection and website is very impressive! I hardly have time to keep my collection organized in my books let alone scan it and share it with everyone. A very respectable undertaking indeed!
