I suppose it is discussable where the French overseas offices would go. I opted for Europe | France. This is the Canton #10, with an expertizer's handstamp on the back. If I can identify it, I'll add a note for curiosity's sake. Other Offices in China to add? I've added quite a few to other boards, but I can dig out more to add here, I'm sure. How 'bout you?

Bonjour Rene, In my presentation on the website I mentioned the country: Romania. I am not yet familiar with all the facilities/procedures of the site. My posts are brief because of my lack of knowledge of the language (I guess you speak French - a language accessible to me). With the collectors from Canada I have collaborated very well (thanks again brightonpete) The Hoi-Hao block is without gum.If you are interested I can break it (I have seen that small values are hard to find independently- values too small by catalogue to sell alone). If you have German stamps we can do an exchange.

In my album, I put the overprinted Indochina stamps following the Indochina rather than with France in the offices section.

It makes more sense to me too, but I try to respect the organization of the site (which is based on Scott which unfortunately I'm not used to).

At some point I want to put many of the foreign offices with the country with the office rather than home country.

Everyone is free to collect as they wish. I'm used to the organization of the Michel catalogue. I also have an old Scott catalogue, but I have a hard time finding stamps. I proposed to set up a sub-board West-Berlin and to start with the presentation of the stamps Berlin-Brandenburg (issued by the Soviet Occupation) , due to the fact that the stamps were issued for use in Berlin mainly and I considered that this is the place, especially as West-Berlin (as a Land) has issued its stamps since 1948. A sub-board "Issued under Soviet Occupation" has been created under the DDR board, which seems to me inappropriate because East Berlin becomes the capital of the DDR but no longer issues its own stamps. It was argued to me that these stamps were issued in 1945 when West Berlin did not exist. But the DDR does not exist either, except in the Scott catalogue which places them under DDR. So the conclusion is that everyone organizes their collection as they wish.

Received in today's mail. I do like the French Offices, but am no expert. Canton is area of interest as my wifes grandfather was from there, before he built railways in Canada. Canton to Timmins, quite the culture shock in the late 1800's I am sure.
What interested me about this particular lot is the overprint on a perforation error. One would think that it would have been discarded before overprinting. As I said I am no expert and am not sure if these were overprinted in China, or in France.
