Admin / Moderators. With respect, would you consider moving this thread to "Local Post : Guernsey-Sark/Aldernay" These would meld with a lot of the material from the Channel Islands and Scilly Isles They are Orphans listed under "Cinderellas" This post needs moving as well (Thank you) thestampforum.boards.net/post/17974reena Some Europa Unusuals. (My page error noted : Aldernay)

More Guernsey-Sark & Guernsey-Alderney types. The Guernsey-Sark sheet of 5 is, by all accounts, quite scarce as it is an error of colour (blue instead of black). But you can read into that what you will. It was issued in May 1967 and had a 1973 Catalogue value of £20 !! The Guernsey-Alderney sheet was issued in September 1965. The stamps are a mix of 1965,66 and 68 issues.

This is the Europa 1963 overprint issue from Commodore Shipping. It is a First Day of Issue Card dated 16th September 1963, six stamps. Noted in the Catalogue of British Local Stamps as legitimate local issues.

Isle of Sark (Isle de Serk) The Seignory of Sark (in French – Serq) is one of the Channel Islands. It comprises Great Sark and Little Sark connected by an isthmus. The Dame of Sark, Dame Sybil Hathaway. authorized the issue of a set of pictorials inscribed ISLE DE SERK to raise funds for the provision of playing fields for the island's children and thus commemorate in an appropriate way the 400th Anniversary of Settlement on the island. The stamps preformed no postal service, but contrary to G.P.O. instructions, they were frequently applied to the fronts of covers, where they remained uncancelled.
