Thanks Rod. That thread was a while ago and I see I have a lot of my stamps scanned on it. Took me most of a day to get those up in that quality. Still don't own a Scott catalog to give more information on the stamps, alas. Maybe that should go on my list of things to do this year. Access the Scott catalog at the library and find out more information on those stamps.

Jean, perhaps consider forgetting the Library, and seek out a 2009 Scott catalogue on CD The world at your fingertips.

Thanks Rod. We don't have an operating CD player in the house anymore. DVDs yes, on Hubby's laptop and the TV, but not CDs. It's one of my requirements for when I get my new laptop later this year. We have an external DVD/CD player that is supposed to be Mac and PC compatible. Hubby has a PC and I have a Mac. It doesn't work with my Mac. Can get the DVD player to work, but not CDs. Mega-unimpressed. I'll be switching back to the PC platform in my next laptop. Also, isn't 2009 a little old? Mind you, I see it's cheap on e-bay! Only $10US...

Here is how you may approach it. (BTW $10 sounds really cheap? it will probably be a pirated copy, that will be your own personal decision) 1. Purchase the Scott 2009 catalogue on disk, then load / copy the files on your computer. (no more working with disks) 2. from 2009 -2016, buy the Mutilated 2016 Scott Catalogue (US) (He sells CDs DVDs , he may have a genuine 2009 CD cat for sale) stores.ebay.com.au/Stamps-From-Me-to-You/Scott-Catalogue-Reference.htmlor whatever country you need or, if you need whole world, buy out of date Scott catalogues cheap I use my Library, and ask for no longer used Stamp catalogues, or if you are in US, buy from ebay, or members here may have older cats for sale. The 2009 catalogue will support your search for textile stamps, and you can leaf through the hardcopy for the rest. Good Luck

I have been accumulating many stamps only to file them away instead of properly housing them. I am not getting any younger, so I vow to begin getting my collection in order before another year is in my rear view mirror.

I didn't spend nearly enough time with my stamps last year, so definitely putting aside some serious time to stamp is part of my plan. I have several Scott and Scott Junior albums that are 80%-90% full. Unfortunately, they are moldy! I'm super allergic to mold, so right now, they're in a box with drier sheets and baking soda. I hope that soon I will have the energy to start soaking the stamps off and dipping them in ammonia to rid them of mold.
