What I collect: Militaria from various periods. Like USMC

Greetings to all,
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I'm Mark and I'm collectorholic who doesn't want to be reformed.
Seriously, recently retired after 27+ years in law enforcement and I'm enjoying retirement so far. Was raised in an environment where collecting was second nature and inherited from my father. Was digging bottles before age 5, metal detecting, militaria, baseball, etc, etc. Anything old and curious is like crack but I have never been able to wrap my head around ALL the intricacies of Stamp/Postal collecting and all the moving parts so here I am. My current bug is USMC militaria. Dog tags, medals, uniforms, Covers addressed by/to USMC, etc. It just has to be re-searchable.
I can't say that I will become a devout collector of such but I'm always open to learning about new things as you never know; I may come across something that is of interest to those here. Additionally, I plan on posting several scans of some covers that I already have in my possession with the hope that someone may be able to tell what I have and if there is any value to them.
Thanks in advance,
Mark
PS
Im also a member of SCF

Thanks and I love the avatar! There are a few more like it posted here. Unfortunately, those that I'm missing are getting more difficult to come by.

Dont know if I would call it fun. Its known locally as Jack-N-Kill from all the shootings we have. The manatees are cool though

I must live a sheltered life here. Can't even imagine a city dwelling. The only shooting around these parts is someone trying for a trophy bear or buck. There are more than a few that hunt for food as well. I like fishing much quieter.
