starting with four,I am a stamp collector for 65 years.
For nearly forty years I also was a part-time stamp dealer.
I have collections of a number of asian and european countries,as well as US,Canada,Australia N.Z. and Mauritius.
My favourite collection is that of classical stamps w.w..
By my definition,all stamps issued before 1870 are classical.
In 2000 I ended purchasing new issues,except those of my native Germany.
In the last ten years I have stopped actively collecting at all, not because I wouldn´t
like anymore,but it turned out to be nearly impossible to go on.
I then had moved to Paraguay.The postal system here in Paraguay is so rotten,
(and expensive,a letter to Europe is about $ 3.-) mail theft so frequent,that I called it a day.
Since then I work in depth on inventories and valuations of my existing collections.
