September 15This 10 øre, yellow green, perf. 14.5x13.5 stamp featuring Norway's lion rampant (Scott 115; 1926) was postmarked in Åndalsnes on this date. tomiseksj I think this must be the postmark ÅNDALSNESRUTEN. If you see where the letters start in the ring it need more than ÅNDALSNES to be symmetric to the bars in the inner ring. This pstmark. I'm not 100% sure but I think this cancel was in use on a Bus/lorry between Ålesund and Åndalsnes and cooperated with the railway Åndalsnes - Dombås, Raumabanen ( The Rauma Line ) (Sorry, I love to investigate the Norwegian postmarks)

tobben63 , Thanks for the clarification on the postmark. I thought I was lucky just to have found Åndalsnes using a wildcard search but I believe you've correctly identified the PM.

17th September (1908) Canada, Sc 98, 2-cent carmine commemorative stamp, issued for the Quebec Tercentenary on 16th July 1908, depicting King Edward VII of Great Britain and his wife, Queen consort Alexandra of Denmark, postmarked on this date in 1908 in what appears to be Enterprise, Ontario. I had a difficult time getting information on the community of Enterprise, Ontario, so if any TSF members can help with that, please feel free to respond to this post.

18th September (1970) Great Britain, Sc 642, 5-pence commemorative stamp issued for the Philympia stamp exhibition, postmarked on this date in 1970 in Reading, Berkshire county, England (first day of issue). A nice example of a stamps-on-stamps topical, and featuring an image of the Penny Black. What's not to love?

30th September (1954) Denmark, Sc 345, 30-ore red commemorative stamp depicting Nyborg Castle, as part of the 1000-Year Anniversary of Denmark, and postmarked in Copenhagen on this date in 1954, which was also the year of issue for this stamp. I got this stamp in one of the mixtures from either feebletodix or vikingeck.

Canada FDC October 20, 1971 Unitrade/Scott 558 - Pierre Laporte, Minister of Labour (Quebec Gov), killed by terrorists 1 year earlier. The main bridge to enter Québec City is named after him. I had posted this cover this morning and it is not here. I do not want to overshadow the nice 1935 Nigeria cover in Steve's previous post....please look at it !!
