I'm looking at Y &T 1924 and I do not see that value, 25 c yes, but no 0.25 F The same design was issued again in 1979-81 but small zero "Petite 0" Here's where I am looking, but maybe I am missing something?

Thank you very much for your post, Stan ( stainlessb). What is the listing for Y&T 328? Another site is showing that as the catalogue number for this stamp. Thanks, Chris

Thanks, Stan ( stainlessb). You are quite right. Definitely "F" and not "NF". Your catalogue number and description seem to fit. The only problem is the date, as my stamp seems to be script cancelled in 1962, which is not possible if the stamp was issued in 1964. Perhaps I have got the script date wrong. Just looked at it again, though, and it looks like a 2 to me.

The line under the second digit of the year looks just like that, a line. I doubt it is a part of the number as it looks too distinct to me. I'd hazard a guess of 1964 or maybe 1967.

13th April (2012) United States, Sc 948, souvenir sheet of 2 stamps, 5-cent blue and 10-cent orange, depicting Benjamin Franklin and George Washington, respectively. The stamp images are reproductions of the first two U.S. stamps, originally printed in brown and black, respectively. This souvenir sheet was issued on 19th May 1947 to mark the Centenary International Philatelic Exhibition, which honored the 100th anniversary of the first two U.S. stamps. This example was postmarked in 2012 at the American Philatelic Society headquarters in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania and was used on one of their mailings to me, 65 years after its issue.

Third Reich 6pf issued on April 12, 1933 celebrating Potsdam Day, with Frederick the Great depicted.
From Wikipedia:The Day of Potsdam, otherwise known as the Tag von Potsdam or Potsdam Celebration was a March 21, 1933, ceremony for the opening of the new Reichstag after the German federal election, March 1933, following the Reichstag fire.

Hong Kong postcard cut-outs. Two postcards mailed by me on this date in 1981. HMCS (Her Majesty's Canadian Ship) Kootenay (Royal Canadian Navy) had pulled up alongside the pier just off of the British Admiralty's building in Victoria. Of course I had to go to the post office and mail cards from there to people back home. Here are a pair of Hong Kong $1 fish commemoratives issued January 28, 1981. I wish I had kept the entire postcard! I cut them all up! Scott #370

West Germany 80pf definitive showing President Theodor Heuss, issued (according to Scott) in 1957. This stamp used in Leverkusen - home of the football team I watched when I was living in Germany. Scott #760 : Michel #264 x (The x denoting normal paper. The 30 & 40pf were also printed on fluorescent paper. I'll have to check mine and see.)

18th April (1930) Hong Kong, Sc 133, 4-cent rose red definitive stamp depicting King George V postmarked in the colony on this date in 1930, 90 years ago today. Dedication: I would like to make today's post in honor of departed TSF Member Clive ( Anping), who first inspired my stronger interest in HK stamps, and to current members Michael ( Londonbus1) from whom this stamp probably came, and Doe, whose current interest in HK moved me to get serious about my own HK collection and get all of it sorted and organized!

Marburg is located north of Frankfurt & was the epicentre for the "Marburg Virus". It emanated from green monkey tissue, and was similar to ebola. 31 people were infected, of which 7 died. Not quite like the present virus wreaking havoc around the world today.
Marburg is also home to the University of Marburg, founded in 1527.

18 april ? Someone posted a letter in All?nda??? on 18 april early in the morning. King George V was trusted to bring the letter to it's destination. Michel GB 128X Scott GB 160 Yvert et Tellier GB 140 Stanley Gibbons GB 357 AFA number GB 128 In Lausanne, Switzerland on the same date, but several years later, a red cross stamp was used to send something to someone in the evening. Was it a letter, what was written in it? We will newer know. But we know this is: Michel CH 772 Scott CH 426 Yvert et Tellier CH 709 Stanley Gibbons CH 674 AFA number CH 768 Zumstein CH 399 Then in Sweden 18 april 1966 someone ordered this first day cancellation on the whole block, maybe to have in his or hers collection. There it stayed several years until I got it. Facit SE HA16 AR If you think of it, all the (used) stamps we have in our collection have brought messages, good or bad. That is a whole lot of messages .......

A couple postcards sent from HMCS Kootenay, more than likely from Pearl Harbour, Oahu, Hawaii. I stamped most mail with the ship's ID, this being "CF 39." Black, blue or red, no difference between the colours, just what I ended up grabbing out of the file cabinet. My post office was in the Aft Gyro compartment. My office, the Chart Room in Ops was not secure.
Scott data: left postcard: 866 Inuit Spirits "Sedna," issued September 25, 1980 right postcard: 847, Arctic Islands, issued January 23, 1980.

20th April (1927) Italy, Sc 109, 60-centisimi brown orange definitive stamp depicting King Victor Emmanuel III postmarked on this date in 1927. Edit: Thanks to Ryan for helping to figure out that the town in the postmark seems to be Gazzaniga in the province of Bergamo in Lombardy (see following post for details).
