Something I've been wondering about for quite a while, with regards to this topic. It would seem that in order to show daily postmarks, one would have to organize their postmark collection by date. Is this how it is done with most of you? Or do you keep them organized by country, and maybe keep detailed electronic records and cross references in order to find a particular stamp with a particular date? When I add a stamp to my collection, I enter its pertinent data onto my inventory spreadsheet, which is maintained by country. I also will scan the stamp, cover, etc., and save the image to its respective country folder on my hard drive. If the stamp has a legible postmark, I will also save a copy of the image to the appropriate month in a folder I've named Calendar Covers. The image files are renamed so that they appear in chronological order. After I insert the image into the Postmark Calendar thread, I delete it so that I don't use it again. The original image remains available in the Country image file.

tomiseksj, A big thank you for the idea of how to scan and save scans of postmarks. I am doing something very similar to yours, and it's very easy. Right now I am going back to my mounted collections to find items. Also, something different I am going to do is to create a folder, within each month, called "ALREADY POSTED", so when I post a scan I can just drag and drop it there to prevent duplicating. So, here is my FIRST post in this thread. I don't have too many scanned in yet, so participation will be spotty for a while. 18 June, 1891 from Pajala, Sweden. Pajala is a locality and the seat of Pajala Municipality in Norrbotten County, Sweden, with a population of 2047, as of 2019. This is Scott 46, from the issues of 1886-91.

This beautiful Portuguese commemorative stamp was used in Lisboa on this day in 1931. Unfortunate the stamp was put upside down on the cover - or the postal clerk just did his thing "inverted" Otherwise a fine strike
