Luxembourg Grand Duke Adolphe definitive of 1893, which is one of my favourite definitive series.
I thought this cancel said "1893," but Retroreveal seemed to show "03." It couldn't reveal the name of the town.

I got my copy of American Philatelist Magazine today and thought it would be nice to display this FDC of the joint stamps of the Soviet Union and USA. The magazine has two very informative articles about the Stamp issue. Franked with SC. 1569-70 and postmarked July 15th 1975.

17th July (1914) France, Sc 121, 40-centime red and light blue definitive stamp depicting Liberty & Peace (Scott design type A18) postmarked on this date in 1914, 106 years ago today. The stamp design is commonly referred to in France as "Type Merson" named after the artist who designed it, Luc-Olivier Merson (1846-1920).
