Germany, 25pf stamp, the high value in a set of 4, issued in the remembrance of the lost colonies of Germany, this stamp showing Hermann von Wissmann (1853-1905), who was a German explorer and administrator in Africa, and one who would not be revered today! Issued June 30, 1934.
Also, the 10pf 150th anniversary of German Turners and on the occasion of the 1958 Turner Festival. Issued July 21, 1958, it shows the Turner emblem and an oak leaf.

Another trio from Germany. The first one being 1976 Europa featuring handicrafts issued May 13, 1976, then the coat of arms of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, mailed from Bad Schönborn which is just north of Karlsruhe, issued March 11, 1993. Finally, the 500pf (5 mark!) definitive from the Historic Sites and Objects series, which was also issued June 17, 1993, mailed from Köln.

Has anyone else noticed no links to images after uploading them once? The second upload =gives the links. Much easier that way than looking for the individual links from the database of the first upload. So they get uploaded twice. Also, Scott has the wrong issue date for the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania stamp. According to Michel, it was released March 11, 1993 and not June 17, 1993 which is what Scott's claims.
And aslo... that coat of arms stamp looks like it was used in 1995, but looking closer, could it be 1993?

 You just have to love Scott catalogues - they mention varieties in this series, including 708b... but here's no 708b in their listing!
I wonder what 708b means to them! Maybe they meant 708a. Who knows? Does anyone here know?
