April 14Postmarked on this date in 1938 at Kunszentmárton, Hungary. This 1 pengo, peacock green, perf. 12½x12 stamp featuring Admiral Miklós Horthy (Scott 525) was one of a set of 3 issued on January 1, 1938.

Sweden F942 from 1975, a popular Slania. I recall he was very pleased with it, the layered fabric effect especially. High value, but I'm not sure what it was for.

The stamp has a Strasbourg-Marseillaise postmark.  |

Three East German CTO's with a couple unknown years, all in the 50's though.
The first being the 12pf (cancelled in 1956) and 20pf overprinted on 24pf 5 Year Plan definitives, and the 2 DM Wilhelm Pieck definitive.
I have yet to figure out what I have of these 5 Year Plan's!

These were a Swedish specially. Stamped on the back of an official military envelope, this reply stamp was intended for the recipient to cut out to send a free letter back to their draftee. Any other place do something similar?
 And because stamps require musical accompaniment, and this is amazing. I assume I’m last to find out. Eddy de Pretto - Normal (Clip Officiel). Stunning.

Gold Coast Queen Victoria 6d, possibly issued in 1898, and possibly cancelled at Cape Coast Castle. That's the only "Cape C..." town that I can find on the map. I wouldn't think that there'd be an inland town with "Cape" in its name.

A Sweden F39 Oscar II regular, surface printed in an anemic shade. Could anyone have liked that? I imagine the king shivering every time he saw one.
And I'm celebrating; just back from getting my second Pfizer shot. So far, just feeling slightly nauseous. Serves me right. Distract with Fred and Rita: the 'So Near and Yet So Far' number from the otherwise half-baked You'll Never Get Rich, 1941. They went for the Cole Porter songs and the dance. And Hayworth's smile is mind boggling. How do you do that, and on command? |

Argentina FDC of the 1,700 peso claim to the Malvinas. It was issued April 17, 1982 or was it? I can't believe Scott anymore. This FDC is cancelled on the 22nd.

Funny thing, back when I didn't have the 2009 Scott catalogue series on pdf, I checked Stampworld to see how much this stamp was worth. They had a price of $17 each! $17? Cool, I have a MNH block of 10, now worth $170! At least. But that is Stampworld. Postbeeld and Scott's rates it at a lowly 50¢. So much for my rags to riches block!

Sweden F2128 from a series on seemingly random ships, 'The marine heritage'. Part of a joint issue with Australia, but the Australian counterparts are completely different. I can't figure what they commemorated. All in the series were valued first class domestic letter rate. Not a first day, Rather, it looks like someone visited the neighborhood post office and asked the clerk to make a nice one.

The cachet of the cover, as well as the pm, show a table painting, "Saint Georges and the Princess" by jaume Huguet (1460), that can be seen at Catalonia's National Art Museum in Barcelona.
