29 September 1898 Austria SC53.Issued in 1890 and with a postmark from Rokitniz,now Rokytnice in the Czech Republic.  29 September 1934 Cameroon YT119,issued in 1925 and with a Bonaberi-N,Kong Samba convoyeur cancellation.  |

Today's Lidingö main post office cancel is a Swedish tre kronor regular. The series was crown-by-crown denominated high values, back when each possible rate justified its own stamp, somehow, as if clerks shouldn't have to do arithmetic.
I had to check what this one paid in 1958; a parcel of 1 to 3 kilos. Ah, that car part finally arrived! Swedish Post really liked the design; kept 'em around for over thirty years, kinda the Wavy Lines of Sweden, swedishdefinitives.blogspot.com/p/three-crowns.html Easy to see why; timeless minimalism.  |
