December 30, 2005 This is what could happen to a cover that does not make it through the mail service successfully. US Scott 1757f postmarked December 30, 2005 in Austin, TX.  This is another invite to a Stamp Fair but I am not sure where. |

I do not believe so, rod222 , but it is possible. Given the smooth curves on the ends of the paper making the back of the envelope, I would guess it is part of a stationery set that was available at the time that includes matching paper and envelope. Most of the envelopes to Mollie Coates include the letters but this one does not. I have quite a few more letters to Mollie that I have not scanned yet so there may be some more of this type of envelope. I will 'try' to remember to look for this type of envelope. Here is the back of the envelope opened.  |

Taunton was mainly a glove making centre.
