I recently acquired 2 sets of the 3 volume 1943 Scott International Junior Stamp Albums. I've never owned ready made albums before and I always wanted to have a worldwide collection - but where to start? Where to end? So now at least I have some grounding. I noticed the latest stamp is 1950 mounted in the albums so that's my cut off date.
I've never collected US stamps so it's interesting to see some of them. The embossed envelope cut outs are cool because I can also feel the design. There are US revenues that I've not had a chance yet to really look at. So lots of countries from A to Z to fill. I'm excited about this long term project. Still need to work on my regular collections.
Bit by bit - I plan to re-enter my stamp world that's been on hold through 4 very hectic, whirlwind years.

There are a number of Scott International "Blue" Volume One collectors around, so you can look forward to plenty of encouragement or sympathy as required. I just posted in another group that I know of four collectors who have completed the first volume (and at least two collectors working in tandem who finished the first eleven). And I bet everyone of them had a blast doing it.

I have a hard time because I can't see the boxes in the album so I figured using stampworld I could chronologically match stamps to my period of collecting and then figure out a way to find the spots.
I worked on it the other night for 5 hours and got 15 stamps mounted - I'm proud of myself!
