A trip to NYC (the Big Apple) this past weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday was capped off with a visit to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Seemed even in this world of art (one of my other loves, besides her, and stamps) I could not escape the world of philately Van Gogh's portrait of Jospeh Roulin, local postal worker www.moma.org/learn/moma_learning/vincent-van-gogh-portrait-of-joseph-roulin-1889[BROKEN IMAGE LINK(S) REMOVED] Also found this interesting installation. Stupidly, I did not catch the name of either the artist or piece (I had photographed tags on a number of other works of art, but not this one), but still I found it interesting. Postal covers as artwork. ...only photographed a few of the individual pieces. Didn't want to appear obsessive. Reminds me of finding images of stamps, and stamps themselves displayed in a gallery in St. John's Newfoundland last spring.
