This is my favorite South American cover -- a relatively easy feat given that there are only 2 Brazil covers and 2 cards in my collection! The 700r Botafogo Bay stamps are fitting as the cover was sent by an individual who was a passenger on the 1937 Winter Crossing (Rolling Down to Rio) of the Swedish American Line's M/S Gripsholm (January 22 - March 29, 1937).

Very cool, and the address is very near where I live. I've got about 20 covers/cards that were sent to Mrs. von Stein over the course of the cruise that I'll eventually put into some type of orderly presentation. As part of that project I'll try to gather information on her and determine if any of her relatives are still living at the Wrightwood Avenue address.
