With the addition of a bunch of cindys from the Frog, I'm confronted with a binder stuffed full of cinderellas which is becoming increasingly unorganized. I've been using Vario pages to store these, figuring it was easy to shift stuff around, and saved me from having to create pages, like I do for my stamps and covers. But its becoming cumbersome and there seems to be no cohesion any more. Any thoughts or ideas? How do you other cinderella collectors store or show your treasures? I'm open to suggestions.

I just use Vario pages. Like you said, easy to move them.

James, I file everything by release date and mount them in black mounts on blank pages.By using date file everything becomes easy to keep in order and easy to find again.

James, thanks for starting this thread, as I have been thinking about this, too. Frog, I like your idea about keeping things in order by date. I am just starting out with cinderellas, but that sounds like a good way to do it.

In the area that I collect there is a large number of fakes, fantasies, and forgeries many of which are well documented I keep mine in manila stock sheets till I have a well documented segment or full set then mount them in blank pages then set into a red binder. This works well for well known forgeries and fakes its not so good for cindys so I am interested in what others do as well.
Cheers

My method for storing my Cinderella treasures is quite simple but likely is one you'll not be inclined to adopt. I've got perhaps a dozen or so sets that I've created album pages for and mounted the stamps, primarily exposition issues but a few others as well. The remainder are either in glassines or 102 cards in an overstuffed #10 envelope or in the envelopes that they originally arrived in. I have every intention of cleaning up the mess but something always seems to take priority. Perhaps a 12-month moratorium on purchases will give me the time needed to make some headway.

I only have Cinderellas these days and until I find more time (hopefully when I retire) they are stored in albums on vario pages, sometimes with info slipped in alongside.
The albums are organized (mostly) into subjects or countries and I am slowly putting those into year order where known. Such is the life of a Cinderella collector that exact dates and info are not always to hand but that's the fun of it for me. So when new items arrive they go straight in to place. The places are:
British Philatelic Exhibitions USA Philatelic Exhibitions, Meetings & Clubs Other Philatelic Exhibitions Patriotic & Propaganda Israel & Palestine Revenues Christmas, Easter & other Seals Commemorations, Exhibitions & Festivals Poster Stamps and Advertising Labels Flags Airmail Etiquettes, Registration Labels and other postal labels
Oversize items like sheets or cards are kept in other binders.
Non-country specific albums will eventually be sorted into country order........eventually !! All this seems to work and I rarely have trouble finding something although I do have 2 years of 'recent' items that are not yet in their respective homes !

I do not keep most of the cindys and ephemera which come into my possession (usually try to get them a good home where they will be appreciated), but the ones I do keep I mount in my albums in the country or category with which they are most closely associated.
