I'm posting this for no other reason than I think this is one of the best modern GB issues. It seems to me that much more design effort is put into commemorative sheets than the 'special issues' sets (as Royal Mail now likes to call them, rather than commemorative issues): Here's a close up image of the SS Canberra 'E' stamp, which has obviously been taken from an oil painting. The 'E' value tablet indicates valid for Europe wide postage.

Very nice! I saw one of the large ships off the coast of Cape Cod in 2004. It was so far out to sea that it just looked like a black dot and I wasn't even sure what it was, but eventually I saw on the news that it was a large ship. I think it may have been the Queen Mary II on her maiden trip to the US but I can't remember for sure. I did get this picture- taken through my binoculars!- that shows them. The ship I think is the QMII is facing the camera in the middle to the left of the image.
