Imgur is causing me grief at the moment when trying to upload images. When an image has been 'successfully added', it is showing a blank thumbnail. If I click on the thumbnail, the image appears but it has zero bandwidth (this should normally show the file size). In addition, there are countless blanked out image thumbnails throughout my account with text indicating that the images are no longer there.
I was using this fine last night.
I have logged out; shut down and rebooted and tried another upload. Although the image loaded and showed in the thumbnail, the bandwidth was still zero.
Any opinions/advice welcome.

Just had another attempt at loading two images. Both show zero bandwidth and both were uploaded 2 hours ago . No they weren't, they were added 30 secs ago ??

I use Imgur (was my favourite) , Postimage (my favourite), Flickr (needs Yahoo login and limited free space) and Picpar (easiest & fastest to post but no long term storage) I stopped using google, photobucket & deposit when some older pictures disappeared.
Imgur is often making changes in their interface and often the links or pictures don't work well or they appear later. I also dislike that when you log in, you now go to the general page first with all the latest selfies and pictures with quotes I generally don't understand - I must be out of touch with the new "social media" language. I have not seen images disappear permanently and I have >10M there. Also they do have a nice option whereby they zip and send you all your posted picture in one file. Few use this feature. Great if you needed to do a recovery.

What I collect: If I have a catalogue for it, I collect it. And I have many catalogues ....

This probably doesn't really answer your question - I think you likely have a separate problem with Imgur. But this thread on the ProBoards support forum discourages the forums it hosts from using Imgur as an image hosting site due to a change in Imgur's Terms of Service that prohibits users from externally linking to image libraries hosted on Imgur. (ProBoards is the host for TSF's forum.) Again, I don't think this is the real source of your problem, as TSF is relatively small in the world of forums and certainly wouldn't lead to anything like the problems that could be caused by Reddit or 4Chan or whoever else is really big. I doubt you've been singled out, but it may be wise to shuffle your image libraries elsewhere in any case. Ryan

Thanks for your responses. I am just concerned that if I link to an image that has uploaded with zero bandwidth onto TSF (although I have successfully tested it), there may be problems further down the line.
I know that bored techies seem to fiddle with Imgur and Photobucket, given the complaints in numerous regular posts on other boards.
I'll have a look at Postimage.
