I am new to this Forum. I have been collecting for about 57 years. Started as worldwide, then went to Germany after WWII. Did not progress with it much past 1980. Meanwhile, I have a postal history collection of my home county in PA, along with a collection of looms, spinning wheels and anything connected with weaving on stamps, covers, postcards, etc., that I started since my wife was a weaver when I met her. Boy Scout, bob whites, genealogical postal history and now Liechtenstein are all interest areas.
I have worked for the American Philatelic Society for 37 years full time and 4 years part time while in grad school at Penn State. Was in the Sales Division until Nov 2016 and now involved with special projects, including the APS Ambassador program and outreach with APEX.

Welcome, Tom! I've adjusted your membership status so you are now free to move about the forum. I hope that you'll enjoy your stay with us and contribute to the discussion. We've got a textile thread on the topical board that may be of interest to you. We haven't had much traffic on that board in awhile so please feel free to help invigorate it. If you haven't notice already you soon will -- we love to look at all things stamp related so the more images the merrier.

Welcome to TSF, Tom! Glad to have you on board! I have only been with the Forum for about 6 months myself, but I have really been enjoying my time. TSF has some excellent resources and stamp info, but the best part is the great people. Anyway, welcome again, and I look forward to seeing posts of some of your favorite material. Best Regards, Chris (aka Beryllium Guy)

18horns, welcome. I'm an APS member for more than 25 years but you have me beat for your APS service. Glad to have you aboard. (There is still time to go back to collecting the world--just saying!)

Hi Tom,
Let me add my welcome to the forum as well. I'm a 50 year collector and have collected all sorts of countries and topics over the years. Currently I'm collecting 1864-1870 US 3c Postal Stationery, Scott #U58 and #u59 covers, with all kind of cancels and advertising. I also collect early US Machine Cancel covers.
Most recently I started collecting early Romania and space topical stamps
It certainly has been a lifelong hobby for me...and it continues to provide me new with new pleasures and adventures every day!
Mike
