I stopped by the post office near my office just now to pick up the eclipse stamps and the Have a Ball stamps.. I usually just order from the website, but it was a nice day, so...
clerk: can I help you?
me: Looking for new stamps.
clerk: which ones?
me: the eclipse stamps.
clerk. We don't have them yet.
me: Really? They came out on the 20th.
clerk: We're lame.
No kidding. Actually conversation.

Hi Maybe start a thread about "dumb" post office / clerk responses. A few years ago I received a package of stamps. It contained a couple of sheets and was marked multiple times in bold red letters PHOTOGRAPHS DO NOT FOLD. The clerk put it in my standard PO Box rolled up. I complained to head of the branch. Her response: "There is no problem. It is not folded, it is rolled!" I asked why they did not put it a locker, which were a few boxes away, and the response this time was "Get a larger PO Box". Amazingly, I got two dumb responses for the same problem Jerry B
