EDIT 10/22/2019: These instructions are no longer valid -- see Admin post of October 22nd.
EDIT 28July17: Recently I have observed that pasting the blocked Photobucket image URL into the browser will sometimes reveal the blocked image, rather than the "100%" image. Should that be the case, one does not have to use the intermediary described below. Instead, right click on the image shown on the Photobucket page, select the "save image as" option and save the image to your desktop or a folder established for this purpose. Next, drag & drop the image to your TSFImageHost account, select the embed code, and paste the code into your post. Once you've ensured that the image has been replaced, delete the blocked Photobucket image URL and either save the post or repeat the process to replace other blocked images. Occasionally you may encounter the 100% image after pasting the URL into Photobucket. In those instances, using the intermediary site should allow you to complete the replacement process. !!!READ THE BELOW EDIT!!!EDIT 30July17: After replacing a few thousand images, one learns things they didn't know at the start of the process. When you come upon a post with the Photobucket "100%" blocked ransom image, left click on the image and a page will open in Photobucket. If the original image shows you can right click on it and save the image to your computer. If the "100%" image shows you can still right click on it and the original image will be saved to your computer. I wish I new that 10 days ago.

None of the workarounds that I had previously used to recover images appear to work any longer. All of zipper 's blocked images don't appear recoverable and all of those posted by jamesw have been deleted from PB's servers. If we are not able to post replacement images then those posts without any substantive text should probably be deleted as they are a distraction.

I suggest that we give members until the end of the year to make any repairs and then eliminate that which hasn't been updated and provides no information absent the image(s).

I'm happy to upload images, but there are a lot of them, and I can't get to it as often as I'd like. I'll leave it to the mods discretion to delete posts or not.

Apparently Photobucket shot itself in the foot with its $399/year pricing structure. Read here about its new management team and new subscription offering. You can get 2GB of image storage in the free, Beginner plan. Upgrading to either the paid subscription Beginner+ or Intermediate plan allows you to link your images to sites such as ours. I should note that the blocked images have been restored "for a limited time" so it is likely that those who don't opt to purchase one of the two subscription plans will see their PB-hosted images blocked at some point in the future.

Photobucket's "grace" period referred to in the previous post has ended and some may have noticed that the images posted by unpaid PB accounts are now blurred and contain a PB watermark. I've found a way to replace those images but it is a tedious process. If you come across an active thread with such images, please send me a link to the thread(s) in a forum PM. As time permits, I'll replace those images.

We shouldn't have these problems but we do. The only "cost ($$$$)" for the fix is my time. The recovered images are being uploaded to the TSF Image Host, which I control. If members haven't yet begun to use the TSF Image Host (the "Upload images" button), I strongly encourage them to do so. Accounts must be requested per the previously posted process as they are different than the members' TSF accounts.

firstfrog2013, I'm afraid those instructions only worked before PB determined that it had made a significant error. I'll edit the original post to make that clear. In regard to your images and those of others, I've been fixing them as I find them but it would help me if folks would point out which threads they reside in. Otherwise, I'll have to check each of the Forum's threads in order to find them.

Hi Steve,
After posting the Linn's story about squared circles, I thought to search and see what other countries had done and found several "blocked photobucket images" from other TSF postings:
Back to the search though, I found these squared circle cancels from the different countries of interest...thanks for sharing zipper !

Thanks, Vince! If anyone else comes across blurred images in posts or threads, please copy the link(s) and send them to me in a Forum PM. I'll fix them as time permits.
