Hello fellow Philatelists!!
I joined about a week or so ago, but am only now getting around to writing my introduction. I have been collecting stamps for a better part of 35 years (I started when I was 10, thanks to my Dad).
I started out collecting US (and still love it), but my collecting interests have certainly evolved over the years. I collect worldwide (as I have a deep love for stamps in general), but cannot deny a love for European and Asian countries. Some of my favorite countries are US, Germany, Canada, Great Britain, France, Belgium and Spain.
I currently have a bunch of stamps I am sorting through, but am also in the process of printing out all of the albums that I can from Bill Steiner's stamp album pages. I downloaded them a few years ago and am finally getting down to printing them. While it is a lot to print, it is quite satisfying to finally have the time to do it.
One of my current activities is as ad Admin in the "Stamps, stamps and more stamps" group on Facebook, which is primarily dedicated to people offering stamps for sale.
Thank you for adding me to your community and I look forward to becoming an active part of it.
Best regards,
Jeff Kirkland

Welcome to TSF, Jeff! I have been here for less than a year myself, but have found it a great place to be, in just about every way you can imagine as a stamp collector. Thanks for telling us about your collecting interests, too. I look forward to seeing some posts of your favorite material. Best Regards, Chris (aka Beryllium Guy)

Hi Jeff
Just curious. Where are you in New Hampshire? I am from Bangor, Maine now living in Atlanta, Georgia. The one thing I do not miss is cold Maine winters.

I live in Nashua. From Upstate NY (near Albany) originally. As for the cold, I am a polar bear at heart and don't like much heat (you can't take off enough clothing to stay cool).

Thanks for already posting some nice photos, Jeff. That's some interesting material there. The set of 1907 Madrid Industrial Exposition issues are favorites of mine, too. I learned long after acquiring them, however, that they are labels from the exposition rather than postage stamps. A few months back, I posted some info about this set on TSF here: thestampforum.boards.net/thread/4463/spain-cinderellasIf you would like to add your photo to that thread with comments about your set (original or reprint), that would be great!

Hi Jeff That is my sentiment also. You can put more on to keep warm than take off to keep cool. I don't mind cold weather and snow. Bangor is in a snow belt and "flurries" are at minimum of 1 foot. Here in Atlanta, 1 - 2 inches and everything comes to a screeching halt. I almost moved to Nashua after the military. I was in aerospace electronics and looked for jobs around Route 128. Back then the commute from Nashua would not be too bad. A Down East friend told me New Hampshire is a great state, it keeps Massachusetts separated from Maine Jerry B

Thank you for that info, I had no idea. Its funny that they are listed in the catalog though. I will have to get our my perf gauge and measure the perfs to see if they are real or not. Either way, I agree with you, they are pretty and I also couldn't bear to part with them.

Welcome Jeff I was born in Albany's Children's Hospital which no longer exists.I grew up in Colonie where Mom still lives. My guess is we trampled the same dirt.I'll agree with the polar bear,I try to take off my skin when it gets hot, without much luck.
