Hello everyone! New member here from Bellingham WA.
My stamp collecting started as a kid hanging out with my grandfather, stamp collecting and fishing is pretty much what we did.
I have always limited my collecting to U.S., although I do have an extensive Saudi Arabia collection, I lived there for awhile when I was younger. Because I have limited myself to U.S., I have moved into more of the obscure, back of the back of the back of the book material.
I recently published a book/catalog on U.S. Telephone Stamps and currently working on a few other areas not catalogued.
Never been much of a forum user, but starting to get into it. I find that they can be a huge help but suck your time like so many other things these days.
So many interests, so many forums, so little time!

Welcome to TSF, Willy, good to have you aboard! I know almost nothing about U.S. Telephone stamps, so I am looking forward to learning a bit from you in future posts. I do collect classic worldwide, which includes U.S., so would always be glad to see posts about those, too. I agree with your comments that participation in online forums takes up time, so I try to balance how much I post with how much time I actually spend working on my collection. It can be a bit tricky sometimes. Great to hear that you are a published philatelic author. Congratulations on that. I would love to hear more about your experiences in doing something like that, as it is something which I have also thought about but never acted on. Anyway, welcome again and enjoy! Best Regards, Chris (aka Beryllium Guy)

Speaking of time, when you get a chance I think an article on U.S. Telephone Stamps would fit nicely in our newsletter! Welcome to our Forum. I hope your time spent here will be well worth your while. I've adjusted your membership status so you can now post in other areas of the forum. I look forward to seeing your thread on telephone stamps.

Me? I came down with a case of the "big curious" (anyone else remember Justin Wilson?) and just had to Google. Is this book the work you referred to willy? If so, I presume Telephonestamps.com and Telegraphstamps.com are your websites. Impressive!

Thanks everyone, what a warm welcome! I will definitely start a thread on Telephone stamps as well as other topics most will find quite interesting. Leaving on a 5 day vacation with no wifi :-( in the meantime bobby1948 was correct in finding my web site www.telephonestamps.com where you will see some information all about these wonderful pieces of history. Thanks again, I look forward to the philatelic interaction I have been so deprived of. Cheers! gif upload site

Those of you who read the January 2018 American Philatelist may have noticed that willy 's book, United States Telephone Stamps, Franks and Coupons, has received a very favorable one-page review on page 70.
