I think pretty accurate Anping. There's an adjustment wheel on the front of this, so I turned it until the indicator on the rates was parallel with the line below the 5-7-4 rates (the bottom). Then I placed a one ounce weight from my British Victorian scale (shown on another thread), and it it move up exactly to the next line on the rates, which indicates one ounce. I'd use it to weigh mail, but I already have a 1968 office scale I use for the. Guess I could alternate.
