This was a first for me. I have never seen this type of perforation mistake before (perhaps I live a sheltered life) and certainly not on any Hong Kong stamps. It gives the appearance of a sheet fed into a perforating machine, then pulled out mid operation and fed back in again. However, this assumes sheets are handled in this manner.
I have seen examples where double perfs appear right across the stamps, but never partly.
It is admittedly a bit of a dog, but I had to buy this to study it.
Perhaps others have similar examples.
