Hi everyone...
I just opened some boxes of 'junk' I've been dragging around from house to house and had forgotten what was in them and found my Granddad's stamp collection, along with some stuff I bought like 10 years ago (A box of mixed stamps, I was going to go through them but never did - until now).
So, now I am going to actually catalog them, sell most, and keep the ones I really like.
I need some help with pricing stuff, so I'll ask in the 'basics of stamps' forum...
Thanks for letting me in!
L.

Let me welcome you once again. I've adjusted your membership status so you can now post your question(s) in the other forum areas. A word of caution, you may find that you will want to drop the "temp" from your user name as you begin to look through your Grandfather's collection!

Welcome to the Forum, L! You have come to the right place for getting advice and/or info from many knowledgeable collectors. So, we await your questions! By the way, I also agree with Steve ( tomiseksj): you may end up enjoying working with stamps so much, that you will want to remove the "temp" from your site name. In the meantime, welcome again, and enjoy your time with us! Best Regards, Chris (aka Beryllium Guy)

Thanks Steve, I admit, I thought I was going to be 'temp', but I'm getting really interested in these stamps. Damn being a history major, stamps are just so historical... lol
Thanks also Chris, I appreciate your welcome too!

Damn, I just wrote a big long thread with all my questions and it's disappeared (my browser crashed). Let's hope I can remember the Q's! lol

Well, I am glad to see that someone still has their Grandfathers stamp collection. Unfortunately, my X-WIFE took my mothers and Grandfathers stamp collection and never gave them back to me. I started all over about 10 years ago with absoluteley no stamps. But I have done OK, I have a decent collection again.l
