Greetings Stamp Enthusiasts and Dealers:
If you have not already done so, please remember to mark your calendar for the 60th. annual Aripex 2018 Stamp. Postcard, and Postal History Show, being held this week-end February 16-18, 2018, at the Mesa Convention Center, in Mesa Centennial Hall, building "c", located at 263 North Center Street, Mesa, AZ. 85201-6628. Hours are Friday and Saturday 10 AM until 6 PM, and Sunday from 10AM until 3 PM.
Enter off of Center Street on the East side of the street, South of University Avenue, or North of Main Street. Follow the Aripex signage to building "c". Parking is free of charge at the Mesa Convention Center. There is also an overflow City of Mesa parking lot located just South of the Phoenix Marriott Mesa Hotel on Centennial Way, entrance on the East side of the street. It is also complimentary. If you are staying at the host hotel, the Phoenix Marriott Mesa Hotel, there is also free parking as well in the hotel parking lot, located just East of the property. If you park on the street on Centennial Way, make sure you read the time limit for parking, usually three hours.
Admission to the show is $5 good for all three days of the show; children 13 and under are free. Native Americans receive free admission if they show their tribal card at the admissions desk, located outside just the lobby of building "c". You will find registration forms located on a large table outside in front of the outside admission area. Please complete and provide to the admission volunteer when paying. If you received an Aripex 2018 postcard IN THE MAIL, please bring it with you for express admission and registration. Please correct any address/spelling errors on it. Just show it outside at the admission desk, pay your admission, and then proceed to the inside lobby registration table and drop off your postcard and/or completed registration form. You will receive an additional ticket for the hourly door prizes given out during all three days of the show. PLEASE KEEP THE ADMISSION TICKET YOU RECEIVE OUTSIDE AT THE ADMISSIONS TABLE. If you lose it, you must repurchase another admission ticket.
I have attached an official Aripex 2018 registration form above. If you print it out now and fill it in, just bring with you for express admission and registration as well.
The official list of Aripex 2018 attending dealers is also attached above as well as the schedule of events for your convenience.
These and other Aripex information can be viewed at www.aripex.org as well.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO WIN. Make sure you write your first name and complete telephone number with area code so we can contact you when you win the hourly door prize. You can win more than one hourly door prize.
We will offer a complimentary verbal appraisal service with paid admission all three days of the show. It will be in the Robson Room, located just behind the registration table in the lobby of Building "c". The appraisers have no vested interest in your material; they are there to assist you in determining if there is any value to your holdings and directing you to the appropriate specialty dealer or dealers that deal in the sort of material you bring in should it be determined it has any real market value. You are under no obligation what-so-ever to sell your material. In fact, we prefer if you decide to start collecting and continue collecting after receiving some guidance from our professional appraisal team.
The light rail is now up and running. One can take it directly from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport to the intersection of Main Street and Center Street in downtown Mesa for $ 2 each way. It is a two block walk to the Mesa Convention Center and adjacent Mesa Marriott Hotel.
We have an Exhibit of 200 frames of stamps and postal history at this year's show. Due to last year's suspension of the twelve single frame limit, we also currently have 59 exhibitors, many of which will be attending the show and will attend the Awards Banquet on Saturday evening, featuring a specialty menu that is not to be missed. Please go to www.aripex.org to view the menu.
Aripex 2019, scheduled for February 15-17, 2019, has been selected for the 2019 AmeriStamp Expo winter show destination in a joint show with the Aripex organization. It will also take place at the Mesa Convention Center. This should be a great event and is not to be missed. Your continued participation with the Aripex organization leading up to this joint event is greatly appreciated.
