Received this week-end, the yearly French heart-shaped issue for Valentine's Day, here in block form and as individual gummed stamps:   These stamps are also issued as self-adhesive sheets, which I've ordered but haven't received yet, and will adorn my mailings while supplies last. |

Booklet of circular Belgian self-adhesive stamps issued for their 2001 "Fête du timbre": Just out of curiosity: Is there any indication of a face value to be seen on the above stamps? Indeed, there isn't. This is AFA#3080, and the only sign that this is a stamp and not simply a sticker is the logo of the Belgian Post at the bottom. My AFA catalog states that the face value for the stamp was 17 Belgian Francs, corresponding to the domestic first letter class rate at the time. |
