[ADMIN Note: If you intend to use a third party site to host your images, make sure that the site is secure (i.e., HTTPS, not HTTP) -- if it isn't, the images will not appear.] The image below summarizes three of the methods that may be used to add images to posts on the forum. All images will be linked to third-party image hosts as there are no funds available to pay ProBoards for image storage their server. Each of these methods will be described in subsequent posts on this thread. It must be noted that the sign-in information for your imgbb or tsfimagehost accounts, if you have them, is not the same as the sign-in information for your account on this forum (unless you intentionally made it so).

Insert Image ButtonTo upload an image that you have hosted on a third party image host such as PostImage by using its URL, place the cursor where you'd like the image to appear and then click on the Insert Image Button. In the pop-up box that will appear, paste the URL of the image that you have copied from the image host into the space shown below. Next, click on the "Insert image" button at lower right and the image will appear in your post. Repeat the process, as needed. When you've finished writing the post's text and inserting the image(s), click on the "Create Post" button. If you subsequently move or delete the image(s) on most image hosts, the linked image(s) will no longer appear in the post. NOTE: If your image host provides embed codes, you can simply copy the BBCode for the image and past it directly into your post.

Simple Image Upload PluginThe Simple Image Upload plugin conveniently allows members to upload an images to the imgbb.com image host and have the image's embed code automatically inserted into the post. No account is needed to upload using this method; however, you may establish a free account so that your images will be stored and available to you for use elsewhere. To upload an image using this method, place the cursor where you'd like the image to appear and click on the "Add image to post" button. Once the pop-up box opens, you can either drag and drop your image, browse your computer, or add an image URL and the embed code will be inserted into your post.

TSF Image Host PluginThe TSF Image Host plugin works in much the same manner as the Simple Image Upload plugin; however, the TSF Image Host plugin also functions in the Quick Reply editor. Unlike Simple Image Upload, you must have a TSF Image Host account in order to be able to use this function. To upload an image, place the cursor where you would like to insert the image and then click on the "Upload images" button to open the dialog box. If you haven't already signed in to your TSF Image Host account, you will be asked to do so. Once signed in to your TSF Image Host account, you will be able to drag & drop, browse from your computer, or add the image URL and the image will upload to your account and the embed code will be inserted into the post. If you are using the plugin in the Quick Reply editor, clicking on the "Upload images" button at lower right will upload the image(s) to your TSF Image Host account as well as insert the embed code(s); however, you must click on the "Post Quick Reply" button at lower left in order to complete your post.
