Hi all! I hate to be a pest (honestly, I do!) but I'm trying to catalogue my US covers, and I have very little information about machine cancels. So I appreciate the help that anyone can give me. I have these two fairly plain covers from the 1930s with straight line station cancels - West Park Station from Cleveland and Whitestone St. from Flushing NY. Anyone have any idea what cancelling machine was used to make these cancels? I do have a link to the Machine Cancel Society, but their website isn't always very helpful. Thanks in advance.

jamesw, I think the date, year and killer suggest they are both Internationals but will defer to someone who actually knows what he or she is talking about. The problem with the Machine Cancel Finder, which they acknowledge, is that the primary focus is on the years between 1900 and 1920.

Yeah, 1932 is kind of late for specialized machine cancels. The number of bars is more than usual. I think you will need to find reference material to get an accurate identification.

Yes a message on that other forum suggests these are International as well, citing the small curve between the time and year.
